With this plugin, a single Postback ID can compatibly respond to automated replies on both Facebook Messenger and Instagram. Whether a user triggers the CTA through Messenger or Instagram, the system will respond with the appropriate postback flow for that platform.

Advantages Over Old JSON Code Method

In previous versions, users had to manually handle JSON code to set up ad flows. This method had significant drawbacks:

  • Platform Limitation: You could only set a Postback ID for one platform. For instance, if the Postback ID was set for Facebook Messenger, an ad appearing on Instagram would fail to trigger an automated reply when a user sent a message via Instagram's CTA.

  • Manual Effort: Creating and managing flows required manually editing and copying JSON code, which was error-prone and time-consuming.

With the NEXTPION - ADS Welcome Message Flows plugin, these issues are resolved:

  • Cross-Platform Compatibility: A single flow can handle responses for both Messenger and Instagram, ensuring seamless interaction regardless of the platform.

  • User-Friendly Interface: The plugin provides a graphical interface to create and manage flows without dealing with raw JSON code, reducing errors and saving time.

  • Direct Publishing: Flows can be published directly to Facebook, eliminating the need for manual code transfers.

Old JSON Method vs New Plugin Interface

This plugin streamlines the process of setting up welcome message flows for ads, making it easier to manage cross-platform interactions and enhancing user engagement.

Using Flows in Facebook Ads

After creating your welcome message flow, you can use it in your Facebook ads. Here's how to set it up:

Choose Message Template

When creating your Facebook ad, in the Message Template section, select "Partner app" as your template type.

Message Template Selection in Facebook Ads

Select Partner App

Click "Select flow" to open the partner app selection dialog. You'll see a list of available partner apps.

Partner App Selection

Choose Your Flow

After selecting the partner app, you'll see a list of your available flows. Choose the flow you want to use for this ad.

Flow Selection

Once you select a flow, it will be marked as "Used in Ad: Yes" in your ADS Welcome Message Flows list. Remember that you cannot edit or delete flows that are actively used in ads.

Managing Existing Flows

In the Welcome Message Flows list, you'll notice a "Used in Ad" field. When a flow is currently in use by an active ad, this field will display "Yes". During this time, the flow cannot be edited or deleted to prevent disruptions to active campaigns.

Used in Ad Indicator

Ensure you plan your flows carefully. If a flow is linked to an active ad, you won't be able to modify or delete it until the ad campaign is paused or completed.

Troubleshooting

The plugin includes a built-in diagnostics system to help identify and resolve issues.

Plugin Status Check

In the settings page under "Plugin Status", you can view the current status of all plugin components. This is particularly useful after updating Chatpion. If any components show an "Error" status, click the "Repair Plugin" button to attempt an automatic fix.

Plugin Status Check

It's good practice to check the Plugin Status after each Chatpion update to ensure compatibility. If persistent errors occur after repair, contact NEXTPION support for further assistance.

Common Issues and Solutions

When to Contact Support

If issues persist after using the repair function, it may indicate a need for a plugin update to support your current Chatpion version. In such cases, you'll need to wait for NEXTPION to release an update.

If the repair function doesn't resolve your issue and you need immediate assistance, contact NEXTPION support with your license information and a detailed description of the problem.

To ensure optimal performance of the NEXTPION - ADS Welcome Message Flows plugin:
