The Flow Templates plugin simplifies the process of creating and managing bot flow templates in your Chatpion application. This guide will walk you through the installation, configuration, and usage process.

Installation Process

After purchasing the Flow Templates plugin from the NEXTPION marketplace, you can install it using the NEXTPION Plugin Manager.

Access Plugin Manager

Open your NEXTPION Plugin Manager from the main dashboard. Make sure you have your license key ready before proceeding with the installation.

Install and Enable the Plugin

Locate the Flow Templates plugin in your purchased plugins list and click the "Install" button. After clicking install, you'll be prompted to enter the plugin's license key.

After installation completes, click the "Enable" button next to the plugin's name. You will be redirected to the Add-on Manager within Chatpion.

Activate in Add-on Manager

In the Add-on Manager, locate the newly installed NEXTPION - Flow Templates plugin and enable it to activate its functionality.

Accessing Settings

Click the settings icon (⚙️) on the plugin card in the NEXTPION Plugin Manager to configure the plugin.

Cloud Templates Settings

In the settings page, under the "Cloud Templates Settings" section, you can enable or disable the use of templates from NEXTPION Cloud.

  • Default: Disabled
  • Required Plans: Currently free, but we reserve the right to implement charges for this feature in the future

To enable cloud templates:

  1. Click the "Enable Cloud Templates" option
  2. Click "Save Settings"

Template Status

In the "Template Status" section, you can see:

  • Current template source (Local only or Including NEXTPION Cloud templates)
  • Plugin operation status

The "Plugin Status" section shows:

  • Current plugin operation status (Working/Error)
  • Repair button for fixing issues

After updating Chatpion, check the Plugin Status section to ensure all components are functioning correctly. If you encounter any errors, use the repair function to fix them.

Client-Side Usage

After enabling the plugin, a new menu "Bot Flow Templates" will appear in the sidebar.

Administrators can see:

  • Manage Categories button
  • Create Template button
  • Edit and Delete buttons under each template card

Cloud Templates

When using NEXTPION Cloud templates, they cannot be edited and will display a message: "This template is sourced from NEXTPION and cannot be edited."

Creating a Template

When creating a template, you need to fill in:

  • Template Name: Name of the template
  • Category: Template category
  • Media Type: Platform type (Facebook Messenger/Instagram)
  • Cover Image: Template card cover
  • Media Link: Image or video to display when clicking the template card
  • Description: Template description
  • Bot Flow: Select an existing bot flow as the template

Using Templates

When users click on a template card:

  1. A popup window opens showing the template details
  2. Select a page in the "Select a page" dropdown
  3. Click "Set up template" to create the bot flow

Best Practices

  1. Regular Status Checks: After updating Chatpion, check the Plugin Status section to ensure everything is working correctly.
  2. Template Organization: Use the category management function to keep templates organized.
  3. Cloud Template Usage: When using NEXTPION Cloud templates, note that they cannot be edited.
  4. Template Testing: Before using a template, test it to ensure it meets your needs.
